It ain’t workin for ya!

This is going to be the shortest blog post ever, but I’m sure it’ll be one of the few ones that actually make sense.
A lot of people email me saying they make it a point to eat less and eat healthy and get in 40-50 min of exercise (mostly cardio) 3 times a week. But in spite of that, they say, they are struggling to lose weight or in most cases, they are gaining weight.
Now irrespective of what these people are eating or how much they’re eating or whatever it is that they’re doing wrong, here is the rule…
If something isn’t giving you the results you are after, it ain’t working for ya!
Fat loss is laughably simple and, unless you have thyroid or other hormonal issues, very easy. It doesn’t matter if it works for your colleague or your neighbor or someone you read about on the internet. If you’re doing everything right and not seeing results within 2 weeks of changing your diet, it ain’t workin for ya!
- If you’ve been low carb for 6 weeks and you don’t see any results…
- If you’ve been on the government recommended whole grains + low fat for the last 5 years but you’re 20 lb heavier today than you were 5 yrs ago…
- If you’ve been following XYZ strength training program for 3 months but haven’t gotten any stronger…
Guess what?? It ain’t workin for ya!
What can you do about it? Change! Always be open to change… ‘cos change is the only constant in life! And if you’re trainer is too attached to his nutrition/training methodology and won’t help you change things up… find a new one!
Wake up. Smell the bacon. Find a different approach. Get to work!
