Consulting for charity

While most of you are considering starting a fat loss program on the 1st of January because you’re sure you’re going to stuff your faces with too much delicious food during Christmas & New Year’s, there are children, women and men in other parts of the world who literally can’t afford a single square meal. What if you can get healthy by feeding the hungry? How? Read on.

I’ve been extremely busy the last few months with clients, new certifications, the blog and of course my day job. Though it’s only getting busier by the day with more clients and more work, I’m planning on doing a little something this year for Christmas and New Year. Here is the deal.

  • I had planned on shutting down personal consultation applications for the rest of the year due to workload. Small change in decision – I will take in 10 more clients (and no more) this month for personal consultation.
  • From your (the client’s) standpoint everything will be the same. You and I will communicate, you will fill out the client fitness assessment questionnaire, you will receive a completely customized workout and/or nutrition plan (per your requirement) and then we’ll work together to help you reach your goals.
  • The only difference, you will not be paying me my consultation fee. Instead, you will be paying my fee to a charity. I do this every once in a while and can help you direct your funds to a cause of your choice through UniversalGiving™ or you can choose to make the donation to a charity of your choice and send me confirmation. Either ways the money goes directly from you to the charitable organization.
  • The fee doesn’t change. The terms don’t change. The quality of programming doesn’t change (not one bit). The consultation period/conditions don’t change. Only, the payment will be directed to charity.

What do you  get out of this?

  • Of course, a personalized nutrition and workout program which will help you reach your fitness goals.
  • A chance to help someone in need (the donation will be made by you in your name).
  • Tax benefits (the donation is tax deductible).

What do I get out of this?

  • Nothing. I’m just selfless & awesome like that. A chance to work with more clients.

Does anyone else get anything out of this?

Well of course.

How often do you get to look awesome and feel awesome doing it? It doesn’t get more win-win than this.

Also, since I am extremely private about my clients identities and their information (like any decent trainer should be), I have turned off comments for this post and will strictly only deal via e-mail. If you are interested, contact me at with “Consultation request: Charity” in the subject line.

If you’re not interested but think some of your contacts will be, feel free to share this post in your blog or facebook or twitter accounts.

Thank you for reading and being a part of this.
