Workout – 16th June ’10

Hmmm… so yesterday sucked. This was the workout…

5 rounds for time…

5 Clean & Jerks (95 lbs)

7 Kipping Pullups

9 Box Jumps (24″)

11 Situps

During the second round… when I was doing box jumps the stupid box toppled over! I’ve done a thousand box jumps and seen a million box jumps… never happened… ever! Obviously I fell… landed on my palm & butt. Stood up… check for injuries… none. Finished up the workout. Total time was 11:37. Not bad considering I had about 2 mins of downtime due to the fall.

Got it checked at urgent care this morning and turns out I have a radial head fracture. Not a big deal… will heal in a couple of weeks. I’m told it’s more of an inconvenience than anything else. So… thats that.

The way I look at it…

1. I’m out of action for 2-3 weeks. Life sucks.


2. I take this as an opportunity to work my lower body, fine tune my diet, research more, read more books, write more blog posts & come up with some awesome recipes.

Knowing myself… it’s definitely option 2. I’m already looking forward to the creative programming I can do to ensure that I still get a good workout though I have a broken bone/joint!

In the meantime… Vidya kicked some butt working out at youtube…

Pretty awesome work!

I’ll continue posting workouts daily so you guys can try out some of those. Beware of boxes though… they’re stupid and don’t mean too well.
